Describe the feature you'd like

I wanted to shift to Karakeep / Hoarder with my enormous Raindrop.io library of 3200 bookmarks once and for all but on importing my raindrop.io export into Karakeep made me notice that all imported bookmarks are categorized into the "Imported Bookmarks" list by default, thus not retaining any of my folder nesting structure data which was available in the export.

Is this possible in any way? Is it possible to implement the replication of the folder nesting structure from the export?

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Hoarder users

This would immensely help power users of bookmarks like myself to shift to Karakeep permanently because no one will be willing to move to Karakeep if their 1000+ bookmarks are not sorted in the folderwise structure they were in, and no one would want to manually sort them into the lists (folders) again from scratch.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

I have tried importing both html and CSV exports from Raindrop and they both have the folder data but that information is not translated into Karakeep as Lists.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

Additional context

I don't know if this is helpful but Linkwarden supports the conversion of folder data in Raindrop exports into its equivalent of lists for reference

Excellent suggestion - I have 800+ bookmarks/drops in my raindrop - it is proving a huge task to put them in lists
