Describe the feature you'd like

I guess many people would be happy with an easy "running on laptop when I use it" deployment, to archive our daily browsing, it would be nice to be able to package this as an app, with the server running in the background, and a minimal settings pane UI

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Hoarder users

Increase the user base

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

Have a script for people to self-deploy using brew

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

Additional context

No response

I think this makes sense, but it's a lot of work, and stuff like the crawling with a browser would be super tricky. So for now, tagging it with icebox until there's enough traction.

As a daily MacOS user, I don’t really need that anymore. We can run Docker locally or on our web server ... something (e.g. NAS). And since we had a Safari extension (beta and it's running perfect - FYI @MohamedBassem) everything is pretty fine for me now - ym2ct :-)

@maelp let me know if you need assistance...

I don't personally need it, I just think that if someone was implementing it, a lot of people would be interested I guess
