Describe the feature you'd like

I already asked for this in #1950 and was told that it already exist, but it doesn't. The "browser" mode currently opens links in a crippled in-app webview. I'd like to have an option to open them all in my system browser by default.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

It would allow to use a proper browser with all reasonable features of a proper browser

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

Currently it has to be done in two clicks - first open the item, then click the globe icon in the corner

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

The web app seems to always open in the native browser. I agree on preferring this behavior on mobile too.
