Describe the feature you'd like

I've been using Karakeep for archiving web content and I really love the project. However, I've noticed that it's currently not possible to attach multiple files to a single bookmark.

This would be especially useful for archiving tweets/social media posts that contain multiple images or videos. Right now, each file has to be saved as a separate item, which makes it hard to keep related content together.

What I'd like to see:

  • The ability to attach multiple images, videos and PDF files to a single bookmark
  • Similar to how tools like Raindrop.io handle this

My use case:
When archiving a tweet with 4 photos, I want all 4 photos to be attached to the same bookmark along with the tweet URL, instead of creating 4 separate entries.

I think this is a fairly common need for anyone using Karakeep for social media archiving. Would love to see this in a future release!

Thanks for the great work on this project.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

Users who archive social media posts (especially tweets) often need to save multiple images or videos together with a single URL. Without this feature, related content gets scattered across multiple separate bookmarks, making it hard to find and organize. This would make Karakeep much more useful for social media archiving and would bring it closer to tools like Raindrop.io in terms of functionality.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

No. Currently the only workaround is saving each file as a separate bookmark and using the same tag for all of them, but this is not ideal as the items are not directly linked to each other.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request
