Describe the feature you'd like

I would love to have a share button in the mobile reader view so i can quickly access the native share dialog, like i can on the bookmark list view. This seems like a small thing to add, but it would crowd the bottom bar if placed there (my ideal location). I think this is a good quick follow to #2261.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

More options for users to share articles they love

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

You can return to the bookmark list view or open the page in the native browser.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

I've seen it also being placed in the top right (under a drop down menu). Though this one is also getting crowded with the selectors and now the reader settings. This entire view can use a revamp indeed.

Yeah I was thinking about that too, maybe try to use some of the new native components to revamp the whole bottom and top bar to match the Liquid Glass and Jetpack Compose aesthetics.

@esimkowitz yeah, this will require us to upgrade to expo 54 first. I was planning to do it over the holidays, let's coordinate on discord in case you want to do it sooner so that we don't duplicate the work.
