Describe the Bug

After upgrading Karakeep Android application, I have been experiencing some trouble when using it along with Feedly RSS agregator.

Before upgrading, integration with Feedly went smoothly. You picked up an article in Feedly, chose "Share", selected "Karakeep" and URLs were properly stored in Karakeep. No problem at all.

Since last update of Karakeep, integration with Feedly fails erratically:

  • Some times, articles are well stored.
  • Some times, articles from Feedly seem to be not stored but if you open the application manually they are hoarded at this very moment (not when you share it with Karakeep but when you open Karakeep application).
  • Some times, articles are not stored at all and Karakeep app neither say nor does anything. When you trying to open the Karakeep app, it crashes nastly.
  • Even some times Karakeep app fails when you share a Feedly article and Android asks for killing it.

Currently, I have to copy the article's URL and manually add it to Karakeep app, which is a burden.

As I said, everything went smoothly before last version. As long as I can test it, Karakeep seems to work pretty well with other applications via sharing.

I am running:

  • Android 12 (Kernel 4.19.132)
  • Karakeep (Android app) 1.8.2
  • Feedly 90.0.38
  • Karakeep (server) 0.29.3

Currently, I have to copy the URL and manually add it to Karakeep app, which is a burden. The alternative is to share the same articles several times until Karakeep hoards it.

Thank you very much. I really love Karakeep. Nice job!

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Feedly
  2. Press long in any articles. A contextual menu appears.
  3. Select "Share" in the context menu.
  4. Select "Karakeep". Karakeep app appears briefly and disappear immediately (this is not the expected behaviour)
  5. Open Karakeep app to check if the article was hoarded: can be stored, cannot be stored or can be hoarded when opening the app.

Alternatively:

  1. Select "Karakeep": Android asks to kill the application since it stops many times.

Expected Behaviour

When share an article, Karakeep should open and show a screen like "Hoarded! or Manage" and you can return smoothly to Feedly application or continue in the Karakeep application.

Articles from Feedly are always hoarded without problem.
