Describe the feature you'd like

Manual sort is available in many apps and can very useful.

A manual sort feature would let you drag-and-drop bookmarks into a custom order, prioritizing them based on your preferences. For example:

  • You could place "Urgent Projects" at the top of your list.
  • Group related links (e.g., "Design Resources" or "Research Articles") in specific sequences.
  • Adjust rankings dynamically as your needs evolve.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

Manual sort long available in raindrop.io for example, and is really good for project collections where ordering stuff is important.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

At the moment i don't see how.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

Additional context

Thanks!

Manual sort would be a different feature, but as for the random sort, we kinda of something similar that is a WIP that you can checkout here:

@xuatz
oh yes, so sorry.
Let my feature request here be only "Manual Sort" then.

Would love to drag and order the notes in a list manually like Google Keep, will be especially useful when I backdate notes!

This would be so nice for users coming from Google Keep, which has this feature.
With this, the WAF would be over the TOP :-)
