Describe the Bug

I'm on v0.27.1 and when I press the button, my browser freezes for a few seconds before karakeep flashes 'Something went Wrong'
Here are the browsers I've tried on

  • Brave 1.82.166 (Official Build) (arm64)
  • Firefox 143.0.3 (aarch64)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Tags page
  2. Click on Drag & Drop Merging
  3. Browser freezes for a few seconds
  4. Something went wrong error appears on screen

Expected Behaviour

I was expecting the ability to drag and drop tags together in order to consolidate semantically similar tags

Screenshots or Additional Context

No response

Device Details

Brave 1.82.166 (Official Build) (arm64)

Exact Karakeep Version

v0.27.1

Have you checked the troubleshooting guide?

  • I have checked the troubleshooting guide and I haven't found a solution to my problem

@MohamedBassem commented on GitHub (Oct 4, 2025):

This is caused by having too many tags rendered in the page. The next release does pagination for tags which should fix this problem.
