Describe the feature you'd like

Currently on Android links open in the "reader" mode by default with no way to change it. There has to be a way to change the default viewing mode. There should also be an option to open them by default in a proper system browser, instead of an embedded webview.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

Ability to always see links in a normal web browser, instead of a crippled reader mode or webview. Reader mode is only useful if most of your links are articles, which isn't true for all users.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

No

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

Additional context

No response

This is already there in the settings, in the "default bookmark view". If it's not there, then it might be because I just didn't release the version that contains that knob yet :)
