Describe the feature you'd like

This will be a good feature. For example if I have rule that says any bookmark added with URL containting reddit.com should be tagged with tag "Reddit". It works for future bookmarks but the ability to execute the rule on existing bookmarks would be great addition.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

Easily organize bookmarks that were already added to Karakeep.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

Can be done via API but I dont think a lot of users would be writing the scripts

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

@aptonline commented on GitHub (Sep 8, 2025):

I second this, I imported a lot of bookmarks and would like to now organise them using rules but there is no way to manually apply them, would be good to be able to do this on bulk (globally) or an a specific list or search result.
