Bug Description
I get error while importing from postman on linux dekstop and cloud versions.
Uncaught (in promise) FirebaseError: Document 'projects/postwoman-api/databases/(default)/documents/users/DRnBjjD6msaJ09KqtQT5qrkoGwk2/collections/sync' cannot be written because its size (2,350,226 bytes) exceeds the maximum allowed size of 1,048,576 bytes.

@enginyilmaaz commented on GitHub (Mar 11, 2026):
After the changes Postman made to its pricing and plans, we were looking for an alternative, and Hoppscotch seemed like a good option. We signed up, tried importing, and then the problems started.
The issue was that the maximum file upload size on the Hoppscotch cloud server is limited to 1 MB. We wanted to move away from Postman, but that did not work out. The collection I exported from Postman was 1.70 MB in size. When I later tried to import it into Hoppscotch, I got this error.
The imported file is uploaded to the Hoppscotch cloud server and processed there. That is exactly where the problem begins. The Hoppscotch server refuses to upload any file over 1 MB exported from Postman or any other provider to its own server, and naturally this causes the error.
We could not get away from Postman after all, and since we did not think this problem would be solved anytime soon, and also because setting a 1 MB upload limit is simply ridiculous, we could not really trust an application that made such a decision. So we had no choice but to accept the new pricing Postman imposed on us.
Thanks, Hoppscotch.
