having the same issue right now, made a mistake to update postman and it forced me out of my scratch pad (guess this was the name for their local collection/environment feature).
Only option it gave me was download the backup json file or create an account, so I didn't have any other way to export the settings.

I'll probably migrate by hand at this point but I think this feature would help other people in my situation
