Widescreen mode seems to not work for some titles from what I have been able to see. With Conker's Bad Fur Day I have noticed that despite having the setting being enabled, there will be large black borders around the screen and the game image does not stretch to meet the aspect ratio of my monitor, unlike other games I have tried. I am certain this can be an easily fixed.
Another issue more concerning in my opinion, is that sometimes Gopher64 will not remember the settings you have enabled in the application. This goes hand-in-hand with my previous above mentioned issue. This bug I have seen happen when I wanted to see if my other games were working properly with the settings I had enabled yesterday. Yesterday I had played Paper Mario with Widescreen mode enabled and it worked flawlessly. However today, when I went to test Paper Mario again, I saw that widescreen mode was not working properly despite it being enabled in the settings and I hadn't changed a single setting at all before booting up the game.
To get widescreen mode working again, I disabled all of the settings back to the original settings of when the app is first downloaded. Closed the app and reopened it. Then I re-enabled all the settings to how I had them yesterday and it worked properly this time when playing Paper Mario. I tested Conker's Bad Fur Day again to see if that helped, but it did not. I think that game needs work on for proper widescreen support on Gopher64.
