While playing on my Steam Deck, I am unable to launch my ROMs in Big Picture mode. I can launch them just fine in desktop mode, even when launching them from Steam. I can also launch ROMs in big picture mode in other emulators, such as MelonDS and Cemu. #

I also have this problem on my Steam Deck in Game Mode. Can somebody remedy this, please?

Can you try v1.1.10 and let me know if it is any better?

On my Steam Deck, using the current Stable Channel with the current version of Gopher 64, I still can't launch games in Gaming Mode. I can launch them just fine in desktop mode, but gaming mode does not work. Also, when I am in gaming mode, the screen will go blank if I don't move the mouse for a couple of seconds. I will try it on the Beta Builds of Steam OS to see if that works better.
@Gamaster19 commented on GitHub (Nov 18, 2025):
The beta builds yield the same result as I still can't open Roms in Gaming Mode.
@Gamaster19 commented on GitHub (Nov 23, 2025):
So I switched to the standalone file for Gopher 64, away from the Flatpak, and I can load ROMs from the Steam Deck's gaming mode. The only remaining issues are that It does not remember the directory of my ROMS and I can't adjust the controller options in Gaming Mode. They work just fine in desktop mode.
