Describe the Bug
I have been using Floccus for a few months. My browser was running and when Floccus upgraded today, I lost all my bookmarks titles. Both folder names and bookmark names.
Expected Behavior
Labels/titles are still there after upgrading.
To Reproduce
Just upgrade? Or maybe this is only on Webdav?

Hello 👋
Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software
causes problems. You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at
and if possible solved.
I'm Marcel and I created floccus and have been maintaining it ever since.
I currently work for Nextcloud which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one
than I used to have.
I still try to answer all issues and if possible fix all bugs here, but it sometimes takes a while until I get to it.
Until then, please be patient.
Note also that GitHub is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation
to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can
collaborate to make this software better. For everyone.
Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge
and experience. If you have coding experience it would also be awesome if you could step up to dive into the code and
try to fix the odd bug yourself. Everyone will be thankful for extra helping hands!
One last word: If you feel, at any point, like you need to vent, this is not the place for it; you can go to the forum,
to twitter or somewhere else. But this is a technical issue tracker, so please make sure to
focus on the tech and keep your opinions to yourself.
I look forward to working with you on this issue
Cheers 💙

Hi! I have issues using the provided link to upload a debug log: https://cloud.marcelklehr.de/s/PCi3iLWrzdMZSmw
@matthewadie commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
I can confirm this happening to me as well with the following setup:
Matthew
@benjaoming commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
Looking at the .xbel file stored via WebDav, it seems that all the titles are still there - phew 😰
But the titles of folders and bookmarks are still not showing. I tried to restore an older version and pull it, no changes.
@matthewadie commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
All of my other floccus installs are running version 4.19.1, I've blocked floccus from updating, and they are all still operating normally.
For the floccus 5.0 firefox install with the problem I removed the profile and tried to import a previously exported version of the profile. However, it will no longer allow me to do this. I get the following error:
permissions.request may only be called from user input .
Matthew
@matthewadie commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
I removed floccus 5.0 and installed the previous 4.19.1 version from firefox add-ons. I can now import the profile without any problems, and my bookmarks sync normally.
Matthew
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
I can reproduce this. A fix is in the works.
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
A new version is available now for firefox, v5.0.1 which fixes the XBEL parser
@matthewadie commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
Thank you very much! I can confirm that the fix works.
And thank you for the project, it's very useful, I use it across browsers, operating systems, and devices...
@benjaoming commented on GitHub (Dec 9, 2023):
Thanks for the quick fix! 🙏 I can confirm, too, that it works! I disabled Failsafe, pulled down bookmarks and enabled Failsafe afterwards.
