Describe the Bug
In Edge browser, I couldn't use Floccus addon to pull down bookmarks from my webdav server.
But I can push up bookmarks to the same webdav server at the same PC , in Chrome browser.
And pull down the same bookmarks in Kiwi browser on my phone.
Expected Behavior
I've used the Edge browser and Floccus plugin for 2 years and it always works perfect.
Please fix this bug and thanks for your great job!
To Reproduce
1、Chrome, push up bookmarks
2、Edge, pull down bookmarks, failed
3、Kiwi, pull down bookmarks, succeed
Debug log provided
@flamesky80 commented on GitHub (Mar 29, 2023):
OK, I know why.
There are two default favorited folder in Edge, "Favorites bar" and "Other Favorites".
When I choose one as Floccus bookmarks folder, "pull down" will fail. Create a subfolder under one of them and choose this subfolder, sync will succeed.
But a new question happened.
All the bookmarks will be collected into one folder. Now just one folder show on the sidebar of Edge. I must click this folder to unfold all my bookmarks.
And it also existed in Kiwi browser.
This question could be resolved ?
Thanks !

I have the same problem here with Firefox 110.0.1 on Debian in a fresh firefox profile.
I setup to sync from my nextcloud (25.0.5) and selected the bookmark toolbar as the destination.
However, when I press pull down, it shortly shows it syncs but nothing happens.
If I create a folder inside the toolbar and choose this folder as the destination, everything works fine.
Interestingly, on another PC where I set up floccus like years ago, it works perfectly with the same settings.
here is the log file:

Same issue using webdav server. Chrome and FF are syncing as expected. Edge on the other hand does not sync to "Favorite Bar". It syncs correctly to nested folder though.
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
Should be fixed with v4.19.1 -- coming to a machine near you soon-ish.
@reox commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
I can confirm that it works now flawlessly! Thank you very much!
@reox commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
@marcelklehr mhh wait - there might be a regression: I just logged in into my PC where it worked before and 90% of the bookmarks are gone. They are still on the server though...
Using pull down once does not help :/
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
Can you check the floccus version?
@reox commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
4.19.1.
The booksmarks are gone since the update.
Should I try something before I remove the account and re-sync? (apparently that worked on the other machine)
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
remove and recreate the account sound like a good plan
@reox commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
uhhm okay that is super weird. Apparently on that machine, the bookmarks toolbar did something really weird: Only a single folder was shown. I clicked "customize toolbar" and immediately "finish" and all the bookmarks were visible again. oO
Seems like a coincidence of the update of the addon and firefox doing funny things.
I noticed this only after removing the account... anyways, re-adding the account worked fine.
@dsiminiuk commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
Sometimes when you update to a new version using the crx file being dropped into the browser extensions page in Developer mode, it will replace the old version no problem and nothing more to do. But if the old version remains and then you see now that you have two versions (the old and new) I always remove the old one before configuring the new. You will find the new one is unconfigured, so then import your exported account or setup anew.
@marcelklehr I don't know if a failure to overwrite a previous version (where you have an old and new together) is expected behavior, so I mention it now.
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (Mar 30, 2023):
This can happen if the two versions stem from different sources, e.g. one from Chrome Webstore and one from github releases. They are signed with different keys.
@flamesky80 commented on GitHub (Apr 4, 2023):
It's works ! Thanks a lot !
