Describe the Bug

CPU usage is freezing the computer on preliminary sync.

Floccus is unresponsive.

Expected Behavior

Preliminary Sync will not cause computer to freeze.

To Reproduce

Begin syncing from Floccus in Firefox.

i5 cpu
8gb ram
SSD disk

I noticed I have a similar situation. I have ~5000 bookmarks but it says I have ~14000 duplicates. When I select all to delete, it lists the number at ~2700. After I delete them from Nextcloud, nothing will sync from the computer browser or phone.

Nextcloud version: 24.0.2
Nextcloud bookmarks: current (don't remember version number)
Android: LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12)
Floccus app Android: 4.16.0

Laptop: Intel i7, 32gb ram
OS: Arch linux
Browser: Firefox v.101.0.1
Floccus extension: current
Browser 2: Brave v. 1.40.107-1
Floccus extension: current

Tested on firefox on MacOS for preliminary sync, which completed in mere seconds. No issues with the sync, but I know I have duplicates.

edit:
Tested on firefox 129.0.1 on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS and again ran into maxed out CPU and almost 4gb of ram used. Had to disable Floccus since sync was seizing up the machine when logging into my existing account.

Importing my bookmarks from backup file to avoid the online sync is working.
