Describe the Bug
The extension refuse to sync my bookmarks, clicking any of the three buttons (Pull/Push/Sync) have no effect, I can see in the console log that messages are sent to the service worker but nothing more, the auto sync doesn't seem to trigger either. The issue happen on both floccus 5.1.2 and 5.1.1, no problem on 5.1.0 with the same settings. The issue happen on Brave and Chrome, after a fresh install of the extension, whatever the extension come from Chrome Web Store or this repo. No issue on Firefox, where the extension has been running for a couple weeks now and is still running fine with the last version. The log file is completely empty..
Expected Behavior
Clicking "Pull down once" should grab the bookmarks I have saved on my Git repo.

Hello 👋
Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software
causes problems. You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at
and if possible solved.
I'm Marcel and I created floccus and have been maintaining it ever since.
I currently work for Nextcloud which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one
than I used to have.
I still try to answer all issues and if possible fix all bugs here, but it sometimes takes a while until I get to it.
Until then, please be patient.
Note also that GitHub is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation
to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can
collaborate to make this software better. For everyone.
Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge
and experience. If you have coding experience it would also be awesome if you could step up to dive into the code and
try to fix the odd bug yourself. Everyone will be thankful for extra helping hands!
One last word: If you feel, at any point, like you need to vent, this is not the place for it; you can go to the forum,
to twitter or somewhere else. But this is a technical issue tracker, so please make sure to
focus on the tech and keep your opinions to yourself.
I look forward to working with you on this issue
Cheers 💙

I am having the same issue on brave. I installed the extension on edge, and it works, but not on brave.
@Magic989 commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
I am also on version 5.1.2, and floccus on edge, chrome and firefox all fail to work.
But the 5.1.1 version of floccus can be used normally, and I dare not update it at the moment.
@Investigamer commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
Having the same issue with Floccus on Brave, but not on Firefox.
Details: Floccus 5.1.2
Sync Method: Nextcloud Bookmarks (self hosted)
Firefox (working), Brave (NOT working)
@Magic989 commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
My floccus works fine on firefox, but the interface doesn't show up when I
click the button. However, floccus in chrome and edge browsers can display
the interface but cannot synchronize bookmarks.

This should be fixed by updating your addons.
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
Confirmed.
@Magic989 commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
But I am using the latest version of the addons. .It was normal when using
version 5.1.1, but I clicked the update button in the browser to update
automatically. I don't know if it has anything to do with this operation.

The initial v5.1.2 build for firefox was had a problem which was resolved with an update see #1613
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
This is a similar problem with the build for Chrome but not the same :/ I've pushed a new build to the Chrome webstore which should make it to you soon.
@Magic989 commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
Oh, thank you for your hard work😘.

@Chway commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
The last build fixed my syncing issues for both Brave and Chrome.
I might have something else, but not certain if it's a bug, when selecting HTML as file format, by default, floccus doesnt save the file as .html but .xbel, the content of the file is HTML tho. I have to manually edit the file path.
@marcelklehr commented on GitHub (May 15, 2024):
Yeah that's a known issue that I haven't gotten around to fixing yet :)
