Removing the coat of arms as a debug step from the flag fixes the issue. Here's the output showing the error during vite build:

[vite:css] [postcss] postcss-simple-vars: redacted/node_modules/flag-icons/css/flag-icons.min.css:1:9239: Undefined variable $i__
