See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Austria#Colours which says it should be:
#C8102EShould I create a PR?
@Findus23 commented on GitHub (Sep 15, 2021):
The Wikipedia article seems to say
#C8102E(PANTONE 186 C). (which my the totally subjective opinion as an Austrian feels too dark).https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Flag_of_Austria.svg uses
#ed2939(like this repo), but flip-flopped between multiple colors in the file history. Also it referrs to Pantone Red-032-C, but in https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/Red-032-C this is shown as#EF3340I guess the solution is in this paragraph from the German wikipedia article: (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagge_%C3%96sterreichs)
The exact colors are nowhere defined in laws apart from being "red" and "white" and only for the use in the military https://www.bundesheer.at/abzeichen/pdf/flaggenordnung.pdf says that the red should be
Pantone 186 C.But to make things worse, https://www.bundesheer.at/abzeichen/dekorationen.shtml offers an SVG download of the flag which uses
#FC0204which is visibly quite a bit brigher than the others.I guess this is again a case of the two recurring themes in this repo:
