If we can trust this Wikipedia list, then the only standard is that nearly every flag has a different aspect ratio

2:3 seems to be pretty common, but there are even countries with irrational aspect ratios.

Came here looking for the 3:2 aspect ratio, clicked Findus23' link above, had a good laugh and am now happily going with your 4:3 flags. :)
