Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/electerm/electerm/issues/812

Electerm version: 0.24.39

Operating system(linux, macos, or windows?): Windows

Expected Behavior

Tab closes or shows some type of indication that the session has disconnected, or provide setting to close session tab when session is disconnected.

Current Behavior

There is no indication that a session has been closed.

Possible Solutions

  • Provide text within the session window indicating that it is no longer active
  • Provide an indicator in the session tab that the session is no longer active
  • Close tab on clean disconnect

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start an SSH to a host
  2. Allow session to timeout or disconnect
  3. Session does not provide any indication that it is no longer connected, unless you attempt to type something.

Context (Environment)

I have found that when a session is disconnected and am not aware. It would be nice if the something would indicate a timeout or a clean disconnect, by closing the tab (like PuTTY or KiTTY), or by providing text in the window indicating the session is no longer active (like MobaXTerm).

Detailed Description

Provide an option to close an inactive SSH session tab automagically when disconnected in the settings dialog.

Thanks, I am really digging this SSH client!

Suggestions?
