Feature Description

When placing e-signature components (checkboxes, radio buttons, text fields, signature fields, date fields, etc.) during document composition, users should be able to reassign the field to a different signee without needing to delete and recreate the field.

Once a field is placed and assigned to a signee, the only way to change ownership is to delete the field and add a new one assigned to the correct signee. This disrupts layout precision and slows down workflow, especially when fields are carefully positioned for visual clarity.

Proposed Solution

Introduce a field-level reassignment option in the composition UI. This could be a dropdown or context menu allowing users to change the assigned signee for any placed field without altering its position or type.

• Preserves layout integrity for visually aligned fields.
• Speeds up correction workflows when signer roles change.
• Reduces friction for multi-signee documents with complex field arrangements.
• Aligns with user expectations for drag-and-drop editing flexibility.

Alternatives (optional)

• Right-click or hover menu on placed field: “Reassign to…”
• Inline dropdown in the field properties panel.
• Optional undo history for reassignment actions.
