Describe the improvement you are suggesting in detail

When the language dropdown in the footer is clicked (i.e., receives focus), the outline appears directly on the edge of the element without any visible spacing.

Expected behavior :

There should be some spacing (via outline-offset or padding) so that the focus outline doesn't appear cramped or directly hugging the dropdown border.

Steps to reproduce:

1.Scroll to the footer.
2.Click on the language dropdown.
3.Notice that the outline has no gap from the element edge.

Additional Information & Alternatives (optional)
