Feature Description

Hello, could you please consider adding document replacing in templates? That way when we have a new version of a file, we would not have to redo the template from scratch.

Use Case

It will save lots of time without having to redo the template from scratch.

Proposed Solution

There could be a button near "Edit Template" to Replace the document. Upon selecting a new file, it will retain or previously set fields.

Alternatives (optional)

No response

Additional Context

It sounds like you want to replace the PDF while keeping all the fields where they are.

Another signing software called dotloop has a feature similar to this. If you upload a PDF, you can choose to "apply a template", and it will apply all the fields from a different template with the same settings, such as locations, font sizing, etc.

dotloop

I'm mostly referring to a feature found in docusign, docuseal and other document signing software. You can just edit an already configured template, click on replace document, select the new document and all the fields you set up previously are still there.
