Feature Description

This feature proposes the implementation of strategically positioned social media icons to improve user interaction and engagement on our platform. By carefully considering the placement of these icons, we aim to create a seamless and visually appealing experience for users, encouraging them to connect with our brand across various social media channels.

Use Case

A user visiting our website discovers the strategically positioned social media icons prominently displayed on the homepage. The icons are strategically placed near relevant content or at the bottom of the page, ensuring easy accessibility without distracting from the main content. As a result, users are more likely to follow our social media accounts, share our content, and actively engage with our brand.

Proposed Solution

Implement a user-friendly and visually appealing design that strategically places social media icons in key locations throughout the platform. Consider placing icons near relevant content sections, ensuring they are visible without dominating the overall layout. Test and iterate on different placements to identify the most effective positions for maximizing user engagement.

Alternatives (optional)

Explore different design variations for social media icon placement, considering factors such as user behavior, content relevance, and aesthetic appeal. A thorough A/B testing approach can help identify the most effective positioning for our specific user base.

Additional Context

The proposed feature aligns with contemporary web design principles, emphasizing the importance of user experience and seamless integration with social media platforms. Optimizing social media icon placement not only enhances user engagement but also strengthens our online community and brand presence.

What would a strategic placement look like? 🤔

I think our current homepage emphasises our Github quite a bit which is the key conversion point we're looking for. We understand that most people don't care for corporate pages on social networks and so we're optimising for Github instead.

@Mythie I think we can work on an appealing design that strategically places social media icons in key locations throughout the platform. Kindly assign me the issue and I can work on the idea and see how it comes to life.

Otherwise I understand the part where you're optimising for Github.

Hey, thanks a lot for the suggestion! The social icons are fine the way they are at the moment, so we won't move forward with this one. Thanks for understanding! 🙏
