If the email is sent via a reputable vendor, it can be worth it to inform them their platform is used to send spam.

If an email comes from an entity listed at https://www.datarequests.org/company/, we could add a tool to facilitate a request via https://www.datarequests.org

  • Get access to data about me.
  • Delete (parts of) data about me.
  • Correct data about me.
  • Stop receiving direct marketing.

Some ideas for a UI:

For all emails, it should indicate the transactional email sender (ex.: salesforce.com, rediffmailpro.com, etc.)

And there should be a UI wizard to create banning rules. You click ban, and then it asks you:

  • ban this sender email?
  • ban this domain?
  • ban this transactional email sender? (so if you recognize too many unwanted emails from then, just ban the whole domain)

Then, it asks you which action

  • Reject
  • Discard
  • Redirect (so you could forward all such emails to abuse@)
