Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It is expected that Redis and Valkey might diverge to the point where one client may not work with the other server implementation. See pinned issue for more details.

Describe the solution you'd like

Valkey's go client provides a go-redis like adapter. This could effectively solve the problem. We can document it in the wiki and advise everyone to use the shared connection approach when dealing with forks.

Describe alternatives you've considered
