It would be great to add this nice software to homebrew casks so it could be installed more conveniently.

This is definitely something I want to do. Will see if I can spare time before the new year. Thanks for the link.

This would be great, I mostly manage my apps using

Finding it hard to have the time to look into this but it is definitely on the tasks to do. Maybe I'll have it done for next new year 😂 For now I've been focusing on making the search better and quicker

I was going to add it myself but it will be rejected because the repo is "not notable enough". See this current submission for an example, that the maintainers will only do an exception if it comes from the UTM authors.

The solution? Wait till the app is more starred/forked/etc (Stars is almost there but not sure what's the subjective criteria they may use to reject).
From my understanding casks (since this is a GUI app it won't be on the regular brew repo) are "incredibly difficult to maintain" for some reason, I don't really understand, I guess binary hard drive space or something (but then isn't it all stored on github for free?).
Also it would probably help if the app had a seemingly "stable" version. I have been using it myself for a while and I would consider it stable enough, but maybe "0.0.24 Pre-release" doesn't give maintainers of brew, that never used the app, much confidence.
@GETandSELECT commented on GitHub (Oct 21, 2023):
Bump for stable release, I'd happy submit a PR for adding cask
@sobolevn commented on GitHub (Apr 14, 2024):
I second that. Since 1.0 was release and the app is quite popular, I think that homebrew will accept it.
@Dihgg commented on GitHub (Sep 26, 2025):
+1 to have this in homebrew!

has this been abobonded? seems like a good project, open source "app zapper"
