Whenever I generate a new email, I use the description field to take a note where I used that address for.
I would find it helpful to have a rule/setting that sets the "From name" of an incoming email to whatever I entered into the description field.
Why?
I want to know which companies gave away my email address. When I receive an email from an unfamiliar sender, I have to take a look into my aliases and check what the address was generated for.
However, with this FR, if the "From name" said "Walmart" because I initially created the email for them, and a new mail came from "Plumbers Inc.", I know something happened to my email address right away, without having to search.
I hope this makes sense :)

But if a new email came from "Plumbers Inc." to the same alias then the description would be the same and hence the "From name"...
If you enable the banner information on forwarded emails in your account settings you can see the alias description there without having to search for the alias.

I've the banner info active but have missed that the description is there, thank you. This solves my problem :)
