Description
As you can see in the image, the title is double (home page). The fact that it's not being translated at first has been fixed by switching tab and coming back.
Environment
Extension Settings
Screenshots
Additional Context
Full video HTML (thumbnail, title, channel name, etc.)
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Don't understand.. It was translated at first? What did it fixed to switch tab?
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
It fixed the translation not being blocked. I added that to confirm that the "switch tab and come back" method is fully functional now (sometimes it did not work before), even if the real issue here is that the title is double.
If you need some more HTML stuff, tell me because the tab is still opened.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
But it kept the title concatenated ?
The html you sent does not show any concatenated title from what I see...
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Yes, the title is still double. Tell me if you need anything else or this is just a random bug.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Wait for the next concatenated title you see and send me again the html please.
Not that much, I only need this part for titles :
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Okay, I would keep this issue opened then.
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Here's another concatenated (double) title on the same page I found the other.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Do you have a YouTube tab that was open before updating the add-on? If so, you need to fully refresh it (a real refresh, not just navigating inside the site—use Ctrl + F5). If you didn't do this, it could explain why you see a concatenated title that isn't fixed by switching tabs. I changed the way the extension updates titles, so if a title was previously updated by the extension before the update (and YouTube reuses elements if you don't refresh the page), the new system can't update it properly
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Yep, again, your html does not show concatenated title, so what I just say must be the explaination.
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
I don't know if the extension updated after I opened that YT tab, but on another tab the issue does not persist (I counted 10 concatenated titles in the one I saw the first issue). I'll close the issue with this comment.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 25, 2025):
Ok, reopen it if you see a new concatenated title.
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 26, 2025):
Here we go again, mate. Video is on the home page and the title is composed with two different video titles.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 26, 2025):
Switching tab changed something or not?
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 26, 2025):
Unfortunately, no.
