Description
Safari extension not available in my country or region in the Mac App Store
Steps to Reproduce (if you noticed a specific pattern)
Opening the link to the Mac App Store gives me the message the app is not available in my country or region.
Environment
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Dec 7, 2025):
Yep, for now the add-on is not available in EU countries unfortunately.
Can't say if it will be one day, they ask too much for me (need to be a company, share my adress on the app page...)
@idaanx commented on GitHub (Dec 7, 2025):
Could you compile it (unsigned?) and make it available as download on Github?
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Dec 7, 2025):
I'll see what I can do in the coming week and will let you know
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Dec 12, 2025):
I found out that I could use Direct Distribution in Xcode to distribute a signed .app of the extension myself, outside of the App Store.
You can find the .app in the latest release : v2.20.0
Please let me know if there is any problem.
@idaanx commented on GitHub (Dec 13, 2025):
Thanks, was about to enable the extension in the browser and noticed that videos were not translated any longer. Disabled all other extensions but still no translation. In an incognito window without logging in on the same video it's translated. Looks like Google is finally respecting the settings without needing 3rd party solutions.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Dec 14, 2025):
Are you talking about audio track or even video titles? Because on my side, I still see translated titles, descriptions...
Anyway that's good news.
@idaanx commented on GitHub (Dec 14, 2025):
Everything related to the video is in English, don't even see the message automatic dubbing under the title. Only thing still translated is the chapter markers. Tested this in both Safari and Chrome, works logged in, doesn't work incognito/logged out.
Recently added English to my Google Search languages, maybe that helped. Need to do some more testing, creators can also turn it off for videos.

Hello, would love to see this extension on MAS too!
FYI, if you don't publish apps as a trader, you don't have to provide those details.
