no idea why but I am no longer getting a captive portal or redirect in osx
Web browser portal works fine, but no auto popup portal on connect.

*WM: Request redirected to captive portal
*WM: Handle root

no popup portal

I get 3 or 4 requests with random character headers, no ip, then captive requests but the popup never launches, maybe osx bug or specific to me

I think this is a wispr security measure maybe, it might do portal cert checking before it shows to user. Which obviously will always fail.

works here as well, if something doesn t work, a forget/remove network usually sorts it

Yeah what doesn't help is that apple shares your wifi networks across all icloud devices, with no option to control it, so trying to test on my phone and laptop is a pita. I have resorted to randomizing the ap names.
