Additional Context
On spotify for
girls' generationthere is a japanese version ofOh !and a korean version ofOh!of the same song and forchopstick brothersthere's the solo version ofLittle Apple. However Tidal and the other sources don't have the japanese version ofOh !and I think only amazon had the solo version ofLittle Apple. It ends up downloading the version on the source even if its a different version (like the korean version or the version with a featured artist like with T-ara). It's rather confusing because I think it downloaded without issues but then when I play it, it doesn't sound like what I remember even though all the titles are the same. I'd rather it match perfectly and tell me that version doesn't exist on this source or any sources.@afkarxyz commented on GitHub (Jan 14, 2026):
SpotiFLAC relies on metadata and platform mappings provided by Odesli (odesli.co).
If Odesli maps a Spotify track to a different version on Tidal, Qobuz, or Amazon Music, Spotiflac will follow that result.
Exact matching between different language versions, editions, or featured artists cannot be guaranteed.
