When I search the lyrics of the song, it doesn't show anything, any of the lyrics provider (like apple music, musixmatch) don't work. It just shows an error.

works on my device, you sure that debug version? cause must uninstall the original first for install debug version

For me, the debug version is working perfectly. Only Musixmatch is not working, else all other providers are working. Make sure you uninstall the old version then install the debug version.

maybe google protect, try disable it when installing and make sure no songsync installed when installing

unfortunately there's no option to disable it because according to Google Play Protect, it asks for sensitive permissions.

google play -> your pfp-> play protect -> gear icon in the top right -> turn off "scan apps"

I'm having a similar issue, where LRCLib, Spotify and musixmatch don't work. Installing the debug version didn't help either, nor did other versions/forks

Absolutely love you all, I found this after hours of searching, and deciding to learn how to code LOL. Not even joking.
But downloading the latest debug version fixed it all for me!
