Describe the bug
I use Poweramp as a music player. All of my music is local on an SD card. It seems to be that SongSync (sometimes) thinks that the now-playing song is not local (streamed), as sometimes when I try to embed lyrics to the now-playing song, it says "You tried to embed the lyrics to a non-local file. Aborting operation." However, when I search for the exact same song in the app, it works fine.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
It worky because songy is local.

@MadMarbleHead commented on GitHub (Mar 7, 2025):
I've been facing the same issue on a Google Pixel 7a that's running android 15.
I just did a little bit of testing, and it of the three file types I've tried with so far (mp3, m4a, opus), it's only occurred on two (m4a & opus), and only on the first time playing a given song, but not always on the first time playing a song; playing a song, getting the misdetection, playing another song, and then going back has not caused the misdetection to occur at all.
UPDATE: It can happen with mp3 files as well.
When closing Poweramp, canceling play, and verifying that it is no longer running in the background via the active apps system dialog does not cause any misdetection on previously played songs, but it can still happen on songs that haven't been played.
When force-stopping Poweramp and clearing the cache, the misdetection does occur again on songs that were previously misdetected, but had previously been solved, via swapping from and back to the song.
I haven't yet tested with other music players or file types, and don't have the time to do any further testing at the moment, but if more is requested another day, I can do some more, with detailed play order, file information/paths, and/or with other requested steps taken/recorded.
EDIT: I should also note that the bulk of the testing was from the same directory, but that the issue doesn't only occur in that directory.
