Try closing spotify. Then move the file from %APPDATA%\Spotify\SoggfyUIC.js out of the directory. Then relaunch spotify and the search feature should now work. Finally, close spotify and put SoggfyUIC.js back into %APPDATA%\Spotify. Relaunch and enjoy!

Search might break again after a while so you will have to do this again. It's annoying but its the best we have right now. I plan on forking Soggfy and updating it myself because this old version of spotify is really starting to annoy me lol. The only reason I like using this old version is because it has the old spotify sidebar ui which I prefer. But anyways hope this helps

Even if you try this, the search still won’t work.

That method didn't work for me either.

What did work was:

  1. close Spotify
  2. run the Soggfy uninstaller
  3. update Spotify (three dots in top left > Help > About Spotify > clicking to update to latest version)
  4. close Spotify
  5. Run Soggfy installer.cmd
  6. Agree to downgrade Spotify
  7. Install SpotX. I did not use any flags, I just hit enter and said yes to removing podcasts/shows/etc. from home

Search then works.

If it helps with fixing the issue, the only thing I did differently here compared to my initial installation was not run flags during the SpotX installation. I am fairly sure my prior installation had at least used these parameters: -new_theme -newFullScreenMode -rightsidebarcolor -adsections_off -plus and I think I did -podcasts_off but I don't entirely remember

I just got this issue.
My workaround is to add something to my library with another spotify client and access it that with that way with this old one for Soggify.

@butterYeeter Did you got time to fork this and make it ready for newer spotify versions?
