I saw this suggestion from @tiki-jyhem: "Would it be possible to make it more obvious when the gif starts again? Infinite loop is good, but some hint at when it ends and starts again would make it even better."
I am not really clear on what this could or should look like visually. Maybe a checkbox in the export options to add a few empty or full or colored frames?

It's possible to add a title frame right now. Do you think that solves your issue?

You could add a progressbar for this, makes the runtime as a whole pretty clear.
Menu "image > progress bar".
