Whenever I finish recording a gif, the editor opens really wide (looks to be 1920 pixels wide, my screen is 2160 by 1080 for comparison)

Here is how wide it opens at currently:

Here is how I think it should open:

Here is a screenshot from version 1.4.2, which shows how I would like it to behave:

The Editor (like the Recorder) will save its own size and position. So, if you resize, the app remembers.

Done. There's now (for v2.9) two related options:

The first one will adjust the window size, as requested by you and the second option will adjust the frame zoom based on the window size.

Also, if you want to adjust the window size after loading, there's a button for that:
