I had to use WinDirStat to read volume usage and determine ScreenToGif's cache was taking 26.8 GB of data on my C drive which is a limited-space SSD the OS runs on.

A casual user won't anticipate default settings to lead to this situation.

Solution
I'd like to see, as an on-by-default setting, cleaning up the cache automatically based on recency. I'm not sure clearing the cache is treated the same as clearing old projects, but if not then there's a little work required. Otherwise, it looks like the feature exists in settings.
