When creating shapes, in most software holding down Shift while dragging will lock proportions.
Would be nice if that was included with the shapes.
A side note, I would make it that If you start by holding Shift it'll be "square" or equal.
If you hold down Shift after creating the shape (or while resizing), it'll lock whatever proportion it is currently sitting at.

Some good suggestions for the editor component. I'd also like to suggest another standard editor element: the ability to hold CTRL key to clone rather than move an item. I tend to create a lot of the same shapes in a given edit especially when detailing interface elements/issues.
@zalmanlew commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2019):
@vatterspun I would say that it's a good idea, but instead of Ctrl it should be Alt (keeping with how Adobe Illustrator works)
@vatterspun commented on GitHub (Jan 29, 2019):
It's CTRL in Microsoft Applications like PowerPoint but I don't have a clear reason to pick one convention over the other.
