Currently, saving a multi-minute animation can take several minutes.

Most users have 2 or more cores these days, so if technically feasible, multi-core processing would be awesome.

To be clear, this is a nice-to-have extra. The vast majority of programs don't have multi-processor, multi-core, or even 64-bit optimizations beyond whatever accidental benefits come from their compiler of choice.

That said, if you do have a way to solve this, please do :)

With version 2.26, I improved substantially the encoding process.
Now it takes way less time to analyze and encode an animation.
