SMSSync does not sync all incoming sms to the syncURL. i tried using it with and without keyword and it wont work. but when i load all inbox messages using the import button in the pending section, it imports and syncs all sms in my phone.

i only want it to new sync incoming sms, not all past sms in my phone.

please advise/

Does your SyncUrl return the right response back to SMSsync?

same issue

SyncUrl is requestb.in service, it responds with 200 HTTP code.
When manually import messages and Sync tapped – messages are delivered to requestb.in.
But it is just need to be fully automatic.

hi there, i deactivated the default messaging app in my phone and then all incoming sms started coming into the smssync automatically.

i noticed the smssync does not auto import sms if you are using sms with google hangouts or any other third party app as well.

I am using on Galaxy Nexus, Android 4.3, Hangouts is running.
Could you describe more detailed what to disable/configure to make SMSSync work?

which app manages your sms, your default messaging app or hangouts?

I am not so familiar with Android, so can be a little bit incorrect.
SMS are received in default messaging app (called SMS/MMS).

ok, please go to 'settings > apps > all apps > ' find your sms/mms app and force stop it. then send an sms on this phone and see if SMSSync catches it

Force-stopped SMS/MMS app, stopped hangouts.
Phone is beeping on incoming SMS, but not displaying notification, so perhaps default messaging application is down. But SMSSync does not catch message.

Got it working!
This is Hangouts (even force-stopped) sucks sms.
So, to get it working:

  • force-stop default messaging app
  • disable sms receiving in Hangouts.

Thanks, @jay-codes !
