I've tested and experienced this issues on a 4.0.4 and 4.2.2 device.
The app doesn't automatically import from the inbox based on the sync url's keyword. i.e the pending tab is empty. Manually trying to import from the pending page imports the whole inbox instead of sms with matching keywords.
@mandric commented on GitHub (May 7, 2014):
Curious does syncing work fine without keywords?
@eltronix commented on GitHub (May 7, 2014):
By that do you mean creating a sync url without a keyword? If so then no, it still doesn't work i.e the app does not automatically detect an incoming sms and it is therefore not listed in the pending page.
@eltronix commented on GitHub (May 7, 2014):
We tested it on a 4.1.2 device using identical configurations and it works successfully, weird.
@mandric commented on GitHub (May 7, 2014):
All the same devices? What device?
@eltronix commented on GitHub (May 7, 2014):
Different devices
@eyedol commented on GitHub (May 8, 2014):
@eltronix funky. Even with the same
keywords?@eltronix commented on GitHub (May 8, 2014):
Yes, even with the same keywords
@eltronix commented on GitHub (May 9, 2014):
The plot thickens; it works on a 4.3 device
@le-yo commented on GitHub (May 10, 2014):
Okay, trying to follow this. What is the problem?
You only want texts with certain keywords to be imported?
@eyedol commented on GitHub (May 23, 2014):
@lenykoskey Importing SMS with keywords enabled works on certain devices and others it doesn't work.
@rafalsliwinski commented on GitHub (Jul 15, 2014):
Is this still an issue in the latest version? I tried it on emulator with android version 4.2.2 and 4.0.3 but only sms containing keyword were able to be sent to the server.
In my tests messages were instantly sent and moved to sent tab.

Seems to me like an error on webserver response.
@eyedol I think you can close this issue for 2.8.0.
