Hi
I apologize if this is not the appropriate place to ask such a question, but I have searched everywhere and it is difficult to find useful information. Does this module support eSIM? I actually have an RG520N myself - although looking at the brochure, both modules come from the same family of 5G NR modules.
Has anyone managed to connect to the network using this module and eSIM? I checked the available commands under
QESIMand noticed that, for example, there is no command to add a profile, and I couldn't find any documentation on these commands either. There are several threads on the Quectel forum about eSIM, but most of them seem to end with a similar result https://forums.quectel.com/t/which-quectel-modems-have-esim-euicc-functionality-do-quectel-models-have-different-levels-of-e-sim-support-how-use-e-sim/28902, i.e., no solution or mysterious answers. That is why I am looking for support elsewhere.

Hi,
I may be wrong, but Quectel modems do not have built-in memory for e-SIM profiles, they can only load an external profile from an adapter.

Thanks for quick response.
So hypothetically, If I would have an external eSIM on board connected to the Quectel - I should be able to load it using those AT+QESIM commands? And that should be enough to establish a connection?

I don't know what system your modem runs on, but it should work with an external e-SIM adapter. There are also packages for e-SIM support under OpenWrt. Someone on eko one pl forum used such an adapter but on a slightly different modem, so you can search for the topic or start a new one to share your experiences.

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't sure whether to write in Polish or English, so I'll leave my reply in both languages.
The system is custom-built in Yocto. I'll search the forum, maybe I'll find some hints there. As soon as I manage to solve the problem, I'll definitely leave a comment here about it.
