The function of restoring the previous proxy settings when closing ProxyMan was normal before I updated ProxyMan, but after updating it, it could not restore the previous proxy settings properly when closing ProxyMan.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Turn on Surge proxy tool and set it as system proxy
  2. Open ProxyMan and set it as system proxy
  3. Close ProxyMan system proxy
  4. It does not restore to Surge’s system proxy settings

My current version of ProxyMan is Version 4.8.0 (48000). This problem did not exist in the previous versions. It appeared in the recent few updates. I can’t remember which update it was exactly.

Environment

  • App version: e.g Proxyman Version 4.8.0 (48000)
  • macOS version: e.g macOS Ventura 13.3.1

I don't think it's a bug from Proxyman @WojtekMasiukiewicz 🤔 When Proxyman is closed, it reverts the System proxy to the OFF state, so it should not be affected with your local QNAP device.

Can you check what is your Proxy setting in QNAP device? If it's ON, just turn it off

The issue persists after enabling the setting 'Restore to previous HTTP/HTTPS Proxy when Proxyman is closed'; it doesn't seem to have any effect. After closing Proxyman, it simply turn off all my system proxies forcefully.

App version: Proxyman Version 5.9.0 (50900)
macOS: Version 15.0.1(24A348)

@PolarisYan @WojtekMasiukiewicz @oxcz @VicoHu Let's try this Beta build: https://github.com/ProxymanApp/Proxyman/issues/2155#issuecomment-2475843960

It now restores the PAC Proxy correctly
