I downloaded the X-Plane 12 launcher/installer from the official website and it weighs almost 20 megabytes. When you run this launcher/installer, it downloads about 20 GB more of the game (at least after installation, the game takes about 20 GB).
I want to get direct links to the files that this launcher downloads in order to download and install the game in advance on another computer.
I launched ProxyMan 4.0.0 in mac OS Monterey 12.6.2 Intel and launched the X-Plane 12 launcher and started downloading the game in the launcher, but no new items appeared in the Proxyman interface.
Am I doing something wrong or will Proxyman never be able to intercept the links by which the X-Plane launcher downloads files?
@NghiaTranUIT commented on GitHub (Jan 24, 2023):
It's not your fault. It's because the app doesn't respect the system HTTP Proxy, which Proxyman is listening at port 9090.
Unfortunately there is no solution to force the app to use the proxy unless there is a config in the launcher setting
