Description

Unable to see search / filter term while using search / filter of the request / response list.

Expected Behaviour

Search text field is visible when search / filter is active and being edited.

Current Behaviour

Search text field is not visible (or is partly obscured) when search is active.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Select a row in the main request / response list.
  • Start a search by using ⌘F.
  • Delete the filter (with the "−" button at the right).
  • If needed, search / filter with ⌘F again.
  • You can type in a search and the search text is used to filter the list of requests / responses.
  • However, you can't actually see the search text filter, or sometimes it is partly hidden behind the window's top UI.

Work around

I just noticed that if I add a new filter line (⌘N) while searching, then I can see the search term shown and it seems like I can add multiple filters.

I can also remove a filter line using the − button.

Once I've removed a filter line, if I start a search using ⌘F again, and start typing in a search term, then the search is performed, but the search text is not visible – there's no visible filter line containing the search text.

Environment

  • App version: Version 3.9.0 (30900)
  • macOS version: M1 Macbook Air on Monterey

Hey @benjohn-ee can you share with me a video/GIF that shows the search field is hidden? (You can send me via email at support@proxyman.io)

I couldn't reproduce it on my machine 🤔
