After a fresh install with default script configuration I'm unable to create a new time record.

⚙️ What settings are you using?

  • Default Settings
  • Advanced Settings

🖥️ Which Linux distribution are you using?

Debian 12

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

Step 1: install Kimai using script with default settings
Step 2: Navigate to webUI and log in with default admin credentials follow localization steps.
Step 3: Create new customer, Project and Activity using webUI.
Step 4: Press green play button in the top right of webUI to start a new time record.
Step 5: Select the new project in drop the down list.
Error occurs and displays "An error occurred Internal Server Error" and I'm unable to create an entry.

Sincerest apologies, I'm not sure what Kimai says about it. I'm not used to posting issues on github.
I had a look through the issues on the kimai github repo and didn't see anything related to this issue.

Should I be posting an issue on there instead?

I've done a bit more sleuthing before submitting this comment and discovered that while the script runs chmod -R 777 /opt/kimai/var/ on line 79, it somehow shows as 755 in a new install.

I have another instance where i tested re-running chmod -R 777 /opt/kimai/var/ and my issue gets resolved.

Other permissions seem to be set properly, it's just this folder so I'm thinking it must be changing somewhere after line 79.

I've done a bit more sleuthing before submitting this comment and discovered that while the script runs `chmod -R 777 /opt/kimai/var/` on line 79, it somehow shows as 755 in a new install. https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/blob/a2ad5f12685d7af56c2eea27b7ad1d43daea4a2e/install/kimai-install.sh#L79 I have another instance where i tested re-running `chmod -R 777 /opt/kimai/var/` and my issue gets resolved. Other permissions seem to be set properly, it's just this folder so I'm thinking it must be changing somewhere after line 79.
