I don't see how you can pre-install proxmox. Proxmox is installed via the .iso media usually and only once you area actually able to login to proxmox can you even run this IMHO POST install script. That's just my feedback.

I don't see any issues with when in the process a user might run apt updates (via cli). I often do it straight after booting proxmox for the first time and then run the POST install script after that.. even days later sometimes.

I won't argue.. but I think you need to understand what the script actually does (with respect to the repos).. it's not that special.. it's simply adding the proxmox community repo (and if you like, disabling the enterprise repos etc). Not everyone wants/needs this. Plenty of people are paid proxmox users. I don't think there is anything confusing about this script being called a POST proxmox install.

Far more important things to worry about ;) .. at least I have... regretting even jumping in here now. No offence intended.
